Review Ring*Con 2008 – Part III

Der Samstag begann für mich etwas später. Da mein Magen nicht gewillt war, feste Nahrung zu so „früher“ Stunde anzunehmen, ließ ich das Frühstück ausfallen.

I started my Saturday a little later. My stomach wasn’t willing to except food this „early“. No breakfast for me this morning.

Mein erster Weg führte mich zu dem Raum, in dem die Fotos mit den Schauspielern gemacht wurden.
Ich erwischte Mark Ferguson gerade noch.
Jemand meinte, da hätte ich ja gerade nochmal Glück gehabt.
Meine Antwort war: Dafür hab ich ihn jetzt auch für mich allein und knuddelte ihn. Der Fotograf war begeistert.
Und das Foto ist ja auch schön geworden.

My first way was leading me to the photo session’s room.
I just cought Mark Ferguson.
Somebody said I was lucky to do so.
I answered, therefor I have him just for me and hugged him.
The photographer was delighted and said go on.
The picture is really nice, isn’t it?

Danach kam Lee Arenberg, mit dem ich natürlich auch ein Foto wollte.
Das poste ich aber in meinem Sonntagsbericht, ihr werdet dann lesen, weshalb.

The next actor was Lee Arenberg. Od course I wanted a photo with that guy.
I will post this photo at my Sunday’s review. You’ll find out, why.

Nach den Fotos bin ich runter gegangen und habe mich ins panel von den Potter-Jungs gesetzt.

After the photo session I went down into the main hall to watch the Potter boys‘ panel.

Das hat mir gut gefallen, allerdings bin ich dann gleich wieder raus, weil ich erfahren habe, das John Rhys-Davies schon Autogramme gibt.
Also wieder hoch in den ersten Stock und in die Schlange gestellt.
Da hatte ich zumindest nette Gesellschaft.
Um 12 Uhr sollte dann die Fotosession mit Brad Dourif sein. Und ich stand noch in der Schlange, ich war schon am verzweifeln.
Aber ein frau hinter mir wollte auch ein Foto und ist dann zweimal los, die Lage peilen.
Beim ersten Mal war die Schlange dort noch recht lang. Beim zweiten Mal kam sie zurück und meinte, ich könnte jetzt los.

Und da kam dann dieses nette Foto bei raus.
Ich hatte den Eindruck, er würde mich wieder erkennen, als er mich lächelnd begrüßte.

Somebody told me that JRD has already started his autograph session.
I hurried up to the first floor again and joined the line.
At least i had some nice company.
The Photo session with Brad Dourif was scheduled for noon. And I was queuing. I became a little desperate. The girl standind behind me with her friend also wanted a photo with him. So she was peeking two times. First time she returned cause the line was still very long.
Next time her return took a little longer and she said, I could go now.

This nice phote was taken.
My impression was that he did remember me when he welcomed me with a warm smile.

Dann war es auch schon gleich Zeit für die große Autogrammstunde.
Da war der Vorteil des Goldtickets, das man als erstes rein und „abkürzen“ durfte. Und man bekam von (fast) jedem Schauspieler eine Fotovorlage für die Unterschrift.
Aber wirklich lohnen tut sich das Goldticket nicht. Und nur, um in der 3. Reihe zu sitzen um gute Fotos zu machen soviel Geld ausgeben – nö. Nächstes Jahr nicht. Lieber hänge ich noch die Sonntag Nacht im Hotel dran.

Time flies, especially at R*C and I had to queue again for the autograph session.
One advantage of a Goldticket is beeing first in the row. And getting photopraphs for having them signed.
But the goldticket isn’t really worth its price. Even if I like to sit in the third row for making lots of pictures.
But I won’t have one next year. I’ll rather spend the money for having a hotel room Sunday night.

Also zur Autogrammstunde.
Am Eingang war ein Tisch mit diversen Fotos. Auch ein bereits unterschriebenes von Jamie Waylett (Crabbe), der leider Freitag morgen heim mußte, weil er krank geworden ist

Back to the autograph session.
At the entrance was a table with the photos. There also was an already signed one of
Jamie Waylett (Crabbe) who got sick and had to return home Friday morning.

Am ersten Tisch saßen Chris Rankin und Jamie Yeates. Nette Jungs. Mit Jamie hatte ich mich auch etwas unterhalten, da es in der Schlange nicht vorwärts ging.
Danach kam Stanislav Ianevski. Er hat zum Glück nicht mehr diesen Kahlschlag wie im HP-Film sondern eine richtige Frisur..

Wie dann die Reihenfolge war, weiß ich nicht mehr genau.

Paul Norell sah auf das Foto und meinte, ja , er könne sich daran bei dem Shooting erinnern.
Irgendwie hatte ich dieses Jahr wohl etwas an mir, das sich jeder an mich erinnert.

Chris Rankin and Jamie Yeates were sitting at the first table. Nice guys. With Jamie I had a short conversation cause the queue was jamming. Next was Stanislav Ianevski. Thank god he doesn’t have his hair as short as in the movie. He really looks good with a little more hair.

The precise order after them I don’t remember.

Paul Norell looked at the photo and said, hey I remember you and the shooting.
Must have been something about me this year that everybody remembered me.

Lori verkaufte wieder ihre eigenen Bilder, wovon ich aber keins wollte. Alternativ hatte sie aber auch DVD’s Das Stück 5 euro. Da ich mich nicht entscheiden konnte, nahm ich beide,. Bekam sie für 8 Euro und auf beide ein Autogramm (Bezahlt war ja nur eins). Lori mag ich auch sehr gerne. Sie hatte mich beim Dinner schon herzlich begrüßt. 2006 hatten wir uns Donnertags Abends in der bar auch mat schön unterhalten können.
Das ist einer der Gründe, warum ich seitdem auch immer schon Donnerstags anreise. Da sit alles noch relaxter, noch nicht so voll und man hat die Gelegenheit, den einen oder Anderen schon mal kennen zu lernen

Lori sold her own pictures again but I didn’t wanted one of those again. She also had two DVD’s eauch for 5 euros. I couldn’t choose one so I got them both. For 8 . And she signed them both (pyed was only one). I like Lori very much. She cordially welcomed me at the charity dinner. 2006 we had a nice conversation at the bar in the 6th floor.
That’s one reason why I arrive at Thurday ever since. The atmosphere is relaxed. It’s not that crowded and you have the oppartunity to talk to some people.

Von Mark Ferguson hatte ich mein eigenes Bild. Das hatte ich letztes jahr von meinem Zimmer aus in Paparazzi-manier gemacht und mir einen Ausschnitt vergrößern lassen.
Er mußte ja schon grinsen und fand das Foto gelungen.
Ich solle aber trotzdem aufhören ihm nachzuspionieren und ihn fragen.

I had my own photo of Mark. It was a detail of a shot I made last year in a paparazzi manner.
He grinned and liked the picture. He signed it with „Stop spying at me. Just ask“

Alle nachfolgenden wollten das Foto natürlich sehen und amüsierten sich darüber.
Shane Rangi kommentierte es auch bei seinem Autogramm.

The following guests and staff liked to see that photo, too.
And had their fun.

Schön finde ich auch das Foto, das bei Lee zur Auswahl stand.

Nach der Autogrammstunde brauchte ich dann erstmal einen Kaffee und was zu essen.
Und vor allem einen Sitzplatz.
Ich saß noch nicht lange vor dem Bistro, als auch schon die ersten bekannten Gesichter auftauchten und sich ein paar nette Mädels sich zu mir setzten.
Wir schauten uns dann auch vor dem Hotel auf dem Mittelaltermarkt um. Der nur leider sehr klein war.
Mit dem Wetter hatten wir zumindest an diesem Nachmittag Glück und mir gelangen ein paar schöne Aufnahmen vom Maritim.

After the autograph session I really needed a coffee and something to eat. And a place to sit and rest.
I scarcely sat in front of the Bistro when some girls I know came along and joined me.
We were strolling to the medieval market but it was quite small.
We had sunshine that afternoon and I made some nice pics from the Maritim.
